In news reports out of Alabama from Jan. 11, a 19-year-old was reported dead after a serious car accident in Birmingham. According to the story, the wrongful death happened during a three-car accident on the morning of Jan. 11. The man was pronounced as dead on the scene.
The accident involving three vehicles happened at 2:15 a.m., according to the Deputy. He reported that it occurred near Princeton Parkway and Fourth Avenue West when a vehicle failed to yield to the right of way, striking an oncoming car. The teen who was killed was in the oncoming vehicle, according to the news, and four other people in the same vehicle had to be hospitalized for their injuries. Authorities have reported that two of the people in the car were seriously injured, as well.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue reported to the scene, according to the news, and seven rescue units were dispatched. All surviving victims were taken to the UAB Hospital and UAB West, where they are expected to be treated for injuries. Now, the Birmingham Police have reported that they are investigating the accident further to verify what they believe happened.
