“I like to look the witnesses and jury in the eye and see into their hearts,” says attorney Ty Brown, who practices in personal injury and business litigation. “I am telling the client’s story and I must tell it well.”
Most of our clients come to us in desperate situations, usually through no fault of their own. At Marsh, Rickard & Bryan, we know they are going through some of the hardest times of their lives. Each client’s story matters when you’re fighting for justice. Getting the opportunity to tell their stories matters, and the story itself matters to a judge and jury.
We work hard every day to fully understand the facts and the legal issues so we can tell a compelling story in every case. That approach has resulted in six of our attorneys being named to the annual Super Lawyers list, a competitive award that is given to only the top 5% of attorneys in the state.
This year, attorneys Dylan H. Marsh and D. Ty Brown were named to the Rising Stars list through Super Lawyers. Only 2.5% of attorneys in the state can be named Rising Stars, which rates attorneys who are 40 and under or who have practiced for 10 years or less.
Super Lawyers, part of Thomson Reuters, rates outstanding attorneys in more than 70 areas of practice. These lawyers have demonstrated substantial peer recognition and professional achievement. The selections for the Rising Stars list are made annually using a patented, multiphase process including a statewide lawyer survey, peer reviews by practice area and an independent research evaluation of the candidates. This results in a comprehensive, credible and diverse listing of exceptional lawyers.
Dylan Marsh carries on a tradition of making a difference in clients’ lives
A graduate of Auburn University and then Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law, Dylan Marsh knew right away that he would be an attorney like his father. He practices in business and personal injury litigation.
He understands that most of his clients are going through trying times. They need a strong advocate who can translate their stories into justice. He works to achieve a just result and provide closure in what can be a personal or family tragedy.
“I like developing relationships with our clients and fighting for them,” he says. Yet fighting hard doesn’t have to mean tossing civility out the window. In fact, it’s often just the opposite. Getting a positive outcome for a client often requires telling the client’s story in a way that is reasonable and fair
Ty Brown likes advocating for clients in the courtroom
Another Auburn and Cumberland graduate, Ty Brown also grew up with lawyers in the family. They taught him that the law applies to everyone and to do the right and honorable thing at all times. He has been named to the Rising Stars list each year since 2016.
A lot of Ty’s clients are at the end of their rope. They’re seeking understanding and hope, and a lawyer can often provide them through hard work, preparation and powerful story-telling.
“I remember one case in particular where a young man had been very seriously injured. I understood then and there that my worst day will never be as bad as his best,” he says. He likes being in the courtroom fighting the good fight for his clients.
Please join us in congratulating Dylan Marsh and Ty Brown on their inclusion in Alabama’s Rising Stars list this year.
