Alabama authorities release info on wrongful deaths, crashes

The Fourth of July holiday is usually a fun time with fireworks, parties and activities taking place all around Alabama. You might have headed out to see fireworks with your family, or maybe you spent time on the road while vacationing. These busy holidays sometimes lead to the wrongful deaths of drivers due to the high amounts of traffic on the road as well as dangerous drivers.

The news has reported that during the 78-hour travel period for the Fourth of July, which started on 6:00 p.m. on July 3 and ran until midnight on July 6, there were 237 crashes in Alabama. The Alabama State Troopers responded to and investigated those crashes. Unfortunately, the nature of these accidents led to several deaths; fatalities occurred in eight counties around the state. St. Clair, Lowndes, Perry, Mobile, Walker, Monroe, Tuscaloosa and Coffee Counties all suffered a tragic accident in their areas. In Lowndes, three deaths occurred. In total, the authorities reported 10 deaths and 123 injuries. Several of these crashes were single-vehicle accidents, but others involved pedestrians or two vehicles. In one case, a pedestrian was killed in Mobile at around 8:45 p.m. on July 6 when he was struck by a 2011 GMC pickup. The 33-year-old man was pronounced dead, and the accident is under investigation. These crashes might have been prevented if drivers had been more careful while behind the wheel. Between distractions, drinking and speeding, there could be several reasons for accidents that took place. Police will likely investigate each of these crashes and press charges when necessary, but if you’re one of the people who lost a loved one, you may want to consider a civil case against the person at fault.

"They took a case that others would have stayed clear of.."
I have the utmost respect for Rip Andrews and the lawyers at MRB Law. They took a case that others would have stayed clear of because the issue of state immunity was involved. Through determination and unwavering commitment they were able to a find resolution to an extremely difficult matter.

"They...brought justice to my family through a multi-million dollar verdict ."
These lawyers took a complicated issue, revealed the truth in a way 12 jurors unfamiliar with the topic could understand, and brought justice to my family through a multi-million dollar verdict. They were able to relate my “invisible” medical condition to the jury better than I can to my own friends. And because of that, the jury hugged me and cried with me when it was all over. That meant more to me than any amount of money.
