Man charged with woman’s death in motorcycle accident

A 45-year-old Alabama man was charged with manslaughter and homicide after he allegedly caused an accident that resulted in the death of a woman. According to the report, the wrongful death occurred when the man crashed his motorcycle. The woman had been riding as a passenger. According to the indictment, the man allegedly recklessly caused the death of the woman. In addition the man violated state law regarding the operation of the motorcycle. The woman was transported to a nearby hospital but died shortly after as a result of her injuries. She has a surviving husband and daughter. No other information was given.

If the man is convicted on these charges, he may be punished with fines and even a possible jail sentence. In addition, however, the surviving family may be able to file a wrongful death suit that would help to monetarily compensate them for their loss. For example, they may be able to have any medical expenses, funeral costs and other damages covered while still punishing the individual who caused the death.

An experienced Alabama attorney may be able to help the surviving family members with their wrongful death litigation. For example, the attorney may be able to provide evidence that the accused individual is liable for the accident. In addition, they may use all manner of evidence, including illustrations, photographs, timelines and police reports.

In most cases, the insurance agency is responsible for providing the compensation to surviving family members. In many cases, however, the insurance company may attempt to pay less than what the family needs to recover financially from their loss. The attorney may be able to maximize the amount that the family may receive by showing the full extent of the damages and injuries suffered as a result of the individual’s death.

"They took a case that others would have stayed clear of.."
I have the utmost respect for Rip Andrews and the lawyers at MRB Law. They took a case that others would have stayed clear of because the issue of state immunity was involved. Through determination and unwavering commitment they were able to a find resolution to an extremely difficult matter.

"They...brought justice to my family through a multi-million dollar verdict ."
These lawyers took a complicated issue, revealed the truth in a way 12 jurors unfamiliar with the topic could understand, and brought justice to my family through a multi-million dollar verdict. They were able to relate my “invisible” medical condition to the jury better than I can to my own friends. And because of that, the jury hugged me and cried with me when it was all over. That meant more to me than any amount of money.
